To end the year in style (and also start the next one well), the D’Pendanse company is setting up shop at the Palais des Festivals, in Cannes, December 31 and January 1for the last performances of his show “Between Us 2”.
Denitsa Ikonomova, Katrina Patchett, Christian Millette and Maxime Dereymez. Their faces and names may be familiar to you, and that’s okay. They all appeared on the show “Dancing with the Stars”broadcast on TF1 since 2011, as professional dancers. “The story of this group is that of a group of friendsdeclares Maxime Dereymez, founder of the company, the creation really happened by chance. A show on France Ô [“Dance Street”, ndlr] asked me to create a troupe to compete against other companies.
Finally, it was a year later, in “Dancing with the Stars”that the troupe will make itself known to the public. In this group of complementary friends, everyone brings their own style and personality. “We almost all come from ballroom dancingcontinues the dancer with nine French champion titles, but everyone has their specialty. For example, Yann-Alrick is very good at swing, boogie-woogie and hi-hat. Jordan is very into ragga, dancehall and salsa.“ More than just a company, D’Pendanse is a troupe based on strong bonds forged over the years.
A family show to share
“Entre Nous 2” is the sequel to the show “Entre Nous” which, since 2015, has had real success, taking the troupe to perform in the most beautiful venues in the country. For this sequel, “the story is very simple: it’s that of the company. I invite the public into my living room”explains the creator of the troupe. “We talk about our different journeys together, we talk about our past with a painting about the competition. It’s an interactive moment because we bring spectators on stage to participate in the world dance sports championships.”
“Between Us 2” bows out at Cannes, but not D’Pendanse, who already has a new show project in mind.

A musical in preparation
The D’pendanse company turns a page with these last performances of the show “Between us 2”. But the adventure continues. The troupe is already in rehearsals for a brand new show: a musical comedy called “Good news”. “We are refining the last choreographies, we are entering the last phase of the creative process.” The first date has already been given: January 11, at the Sébastopol theater in Lille.
