Solal, ready to do anything for Zoé, has embedded himself with the Lanneaus to let Zoé and Gary get to know each other at the boarding school. Their first night together? Nice, but a little awkward according to Gary, who is already hiding a growing doubt about his feelings. Meanwhile, Lionel discovers that it was Solal, not Gary, who brought their father Stéphane back into their lives. A tense confrontation ensues, but Solal plays the discretion card, even though it is clear that his crush on Zoé complicates things.
For her part, Zoé is in the midst of professional improvement: Clotilde, stressed about organizing a New Year's party, offers to be her assistant. Encouraged by Gary, Zoé decides to take up the challenge. But between work and her budding relationship, she will have to juggle to keep a cool head.
A scarf at the heart of an XXL misunderstanding
Billie, who was planning a romantic evening with Tom, sees her Christmas present – a chic scarf – end up by mistake around the neck of Antoine Myriel, the assistant director. The latter, convinced that Angèle is behind this “anonymous” gesture, is over the moon, while Billie tears her hair out. Result: an involuntary triangle which risks exploding.
Malo, Coline and a bubble of comfort
In another corner of the Institute, Malo takes a step towards Coline, whom he finds on the same wavelength. But when it's time to leave home, the young man breaks down and talks about the teasing he suffered at high school. Coline offers him valuable support and shares her own experience facing fatphobia.
