The Intervilles game will be back from July 2025 on France Télévisions, but without cows. Nagui justifies his choice by recounting an event which traumatized him during filming of the program.
After several years of absence, the show Intervilles will indeed make his return in July 2025. Nagui will be in production and animation, accompanied by Bruno Guillon and he promises many changes, such as the absence of cows. If these animals made the success of the program in the 80s, viewers and candidates will have to do without them for its new version. An absence that does not please everyone and certain cities in France have already announced that they are refusing the invitation to the game because of this novelty. “I think that indirectly, it is also a denigration of the traditions surrounding animals like the Landes cow and others…”the mayor of Mont-de-Marsan explained to France Bleu. For his part, Nagui sticks to his positions: “I don’t think that’s their natural element.”
The traumatic event that changed everything
Invited this Monday, December 16 on France Bleu, on Émilie Mazoyer’s show to talk about his guestbook for 30 years of TarataNagui returned to the new version ofIntervilles without cowhide. “No more television shows feature animals and that hasn’t changed anything at Fort Boyard”he says, sure of his decision, before evoking a memory from filming that had a profound impact on him. “In the years 2005/2006, I already co-presented Intervilles et a cow died during rehearsals. It was enough to calm the atmosphere on set, asking ourselves: ‘are we really doing him good?’ So we don’t forget.”he confides.
Intervilles will be entitled to a new generic
The cows will therefore not be present in the arena, but there will be a mechanism to disrupt the candidates during their tests. Another change for the program: the credits. “I can’t tell you, but these are world-famous artists, who are working on a piece where everyone can pick up, easy to sing by a crowd”assures Nagui. Four special issues will be broadcast during the summer of 2025 and France Télévisions promises “great popular festival with “fun and muscular challenges, crazy costumes, legendary falls, and good humor guaranteed.”
