They knew one of them was going, but they didn’t know which one yet. So this song Leave one day was the best way to say goodbye. At the end of the prime Star Academy – marked by the unexpected kiss of Maïa and Marine, the impressive performance of Franck on Don’t leave meby Jacques Brel, or even Ebony’s performance on a title by Adèle which allowed her to win the top 3 battle and therefore immunity -, the named Marguerite (soon to be featured in a film at cinema), Maïa, Marine and Ulysse delivered a moving version of the 2B3 title. Melancholy version very far from the supercharged song of the boy band from the 1990s. And that’s precisely the problem.

Our name does not appear on the screen

Sunday December 16, on social networks, the singer ESTL, the singer Nicolas Foé and the songwriter Noé Trystram, indicated that there was “like a small problem” with the students’ performance on the title Leave one day2B3s. They in fact accuse the production of plagiarism:It’s funny, we received lots of messages Friday evening following the Star Ac’ bonus where the students covered our version of Partir une jour to the exact note“, they wrote on Instagram. And deplored: “So we searched… but our name does not appear on the screen“However, they are not strict about production: “No hard feelings, we are delighted to have been able to inspire.”

For Internet users, it doesn’t go as well. “Didn’t you know? Like before they sang it? Because that’s not inspiration, excuse me… The least we can do is at least mention it.“, “The arrangement is considered a work of authorship so if you can prove it came from you, you are legally entitled to demand accountability“, “You shouldn’t be so nice… Especially not in this environment, it’s YOUR creation, I find it quite scandalous“, “It’s petty and low, you should stand up for your rights.”It’s still scandalous, for such a popular show too.“, we could notably read in the comments of the publication. The production did not respond to the accusations of plagiarism.
