After years of rumors, uncertainties and waiting, season 3 ofEuphoria with Zendaya is well and truly underway. And HBO even gave a hint on the release date.
Since the fanfare launch ofEuphoria in 2019, things have changed a lot. In addition to a central role in the sagas Spider-Man et DuneZendaya shone in Malcolm & Marie (made by the creator ofEuphoria) in 2021 and Challengers in 2024. Jacob Elordi has become the new darling of Hollywood, with Priscilla, Saltburn, Oh, Canadaand soon the Frankenstein by Guillermo del Toro and the new adaptation of Wuthering Heights opposite Margot Robbie.
Hunter Schafer blazed his trail with the prequel to Hunger Gamesthe horror film Cuckoo and a leading role in the future series Blade Runner 2099. And Sydney Sweeney founded his production company Fifty-Fifty Films and created his own opportunities with Everything except you et Immaculatein addition to roles in Reality et Madame Web.
For all these reasons, season 3 ofEuphoria seemed more like a problem than anything else. And the failure of The IdolSam Levinson's other series, certainly didn't help. But the third season is indeed coming, despite the rumors, and HBO has even dropped a first information on the broadcast date.
EUPHORIA SEASON 3: SOON, I PROMISE
Warner Bros. has many heavyweights in its 2025 program grid: The Last of Us saison 2 ; The White Lotus season 3; the new series derived from Game of Thrones, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms ; the series taken from Thattitled Welcome to Derry ; or even season 3 of And Just Like That…continuation of Sex & the City.
Most of these series have a broadcast datewhich was given again by JB Perrette, president and CEO of HBO/Max on the streaming side, during the Wells Fargo TMT Summit event in early December 2024. But not Euphoria.
Still, the series is too important to ignore, so the boss placed it among their biggest events, along with a (still wide) distribution window:
“Our biggest series started coming back in turn this summer with House of the Dragon season 2, then The White Lotus will arrive in the first quarter in February, and then we will have The Last of Us season 2 in the second quarter, and then we will have a new Game of Thrones series, of lesser scope, which will arrive during the summer.
If we look even further ahead, we have the third season of Euphoria probably at the beginning of 2026, then we come back with House of the Dragon season 3, so the cadence will be to have at least two or three big series each year. »
The gentleman then announced the biggest of the biggest:
“If we look towards 2026 and 2027, we begin a 10-year journey with the Harry Potter series, which we are very excited for. And which could be, it's arguable, the biggest event when the series arrives. »
JB Perrette also clarified that there would be no more than two DC series per year, in theory.
If season 3 ofEuphoria arrives well in 2026, four years will have passed since season 2broadcast between January and February 2022. Better late than never, as they say.
It therefore remains to organize everyone's calendarsnotably Zendaya who will have filmed the fourth Spider-Man during the summer of 2025 (for a release in the summer of 2026), and should logically continue with Dune 3 (for release in December 2026, a priori).
As a reminder, season 3 ofEuphoria will consist of 8 episodesand the story will pick up several years after season 2.
