Netflix has just made the series available to its subscribers The Heist of the Skya new Swedish production which has everything to seduce film aficionados The Money Heist.
As the weekend approaches, Netflix spoils its subscribers by adding no less than seven new products to its catalog, including The Heist of the Sky. Daniel Espinosa's production brings us one morning in September 2009 when the world's eyes were focused on a discreet suburb of the Swedish capital. A Bell 206 JetRanger helicopter landed on the roof of Sweden's most secure banknote depository, with a group of burglars on board. In just a few minutes, the criminals stole more than 4 million dollars before the eyes of the authorities, totally helpless, and without having fired a single shot. Carried by Mahmut Suvakci and Ardalan Esmaili, the Swedish thriller is sure to please fans of The Money Heist.
The Heist of the Sky : a gripping thriller inspired by true events
The Heist of the Sky is actually inspired by real events. The Swedish production is based on the helicopter heist which took place in Sweden at the end of the 2000s. Thieves entered through the roof of the banknote deposit of the security company G4S to steal millions in cash before fleeing by helicopter, found in a wood north of the Swedish capital. The arrested suspects were prosecuted for the bank robbery as well as for blocking several roads and stealing a helicopter.
