Raymond Aabou came close to death twice
He first revealed that he was almost run over by an ice cream truck when he was still a child. He owes his salvation only to the vigilance of a witness to the scene. “I slip, he reverses, he drags me against the sidewalk, my foot remains attached to the wheel. (…) He thinks it's a stone, he continues to drag me (…), he stops at the height of the collarbone”, he said. But this is not the only tragedy that could have cost the life of the former delivery man. He also told “the second time” where he almost died when he was only 13 years old. With his friends, Raymond Aabou was racing to dive into the swimming pool when things went very wrong. “I slide to the side, I catch the cast iron chains in the temple. I put my hand in the water and I lose consciousness completely”, he shared. Rushed to hospital in Colombes, his life was in danger. The doctors decided that there was nothing more they could do and that he had to be transferred to Paris. “They take me to Saint-Louis hospital, head specialist and I stay there three days. Three days in a coma and then I come out, I’m here”, he testified. A true miracle that moved the stage!
The columnist was also the victim of a serious car accident
In high spirits, Raymond Aabou followed up with a third accident, this time with a car when he was leaving training with PSG. “This is the third time I almost died,” he blurted. “I don't know what's happening to me. I go out and people scream when I go out. (…) I had the key stuck in my leg and I came out with the key stuck in my leg. I I felt dizzy and fell to the ground”, he indicated.
