This spring, in the heart of the Philippines, Ghyslain Octeau Piché proved to be a ruthless player at Survivor Quebec, in great physical and mental shape. It was no surprise that he walked away with honors and the grand prize of $100,000, as he excelled in the events.
However, in an excerpt from an interview he recently gave, he reveals that the reality show from which he emerged a winner was not his first choice. Indeed, at the microphone of comedian Martin Vachon’s podcast, Les Sport’ischhhhe states:
« I wasn’t a fan of Survivor myself, initially. I don’t know all the American seasons. But the real reason I signed up for Survivor was because I wanted to do Big Brother. I remember when I watched the first season of Celebrity Big Brother, I was like, “Man, why is it just celebrities?” This show is incredible, the whole strategic aspect, the challenges, it’s sick! I would love to play that! And I thought about doing OD, but my girlfriend didn’t agree. Instead, when we watched season 1 of Survivor, I was like, “Man, this game is amazing!” It reminded me a little of that. So I said I’m going to sign up for Survivor, and maybe I can do Big Brother after! »
To participate in Big Brother Celebrities, you must, of course, be a little known to Quebecers. With the fame he acquired during his time at Survivor Quebeccould it be that he could break into the house being filmed 24/7 one of these days? We hope so! The message is sent to production!
Remember that Ghyslain, shortly after his victory last June, denied a particularly persistent rumor about him. Details here.
Note that the popular Noovo reality show has been renewed for a 3rd season, in which new players will compete in grueling tests, still in the heavenly setting of the Philippines. The broadcast is planned for next year.
