Daily: “Your show is going to be a disaster”, Hugh Grant sets the tone as soon as he arrives on set

Hugh Grant fans were delighted to see him on French television. This Wednesday, November 20, the actor was the guest on the show Daily in order to promote his new film, Heretic. It is a horror film directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, in which he plays the role of a psychopath who enjoys trapping two young women, missionaries of the Mormon church.
Before starting the interview, Hugh Grant immediately said: “ I'm jetlag” highlighting the difficulty for him to be there.

The actor was delighted to be there but said he would have a lot of difficulty conducting the interview.
Your show is going to be a disaster,”
he declared.
Enough to provoke laughter from the columnists and Yann Barthès but also to let viewers know that they should not expect much from him. The host pulled out all the stops and, to make his guest feel good, he offered him a cheese platter.
Enough to please Hugh Grant who took the opportunity to eat a few pieces.

Hugh Grant: an actor who confides

Hugh Grant is used to roles that are not always friendly. Yann Barthès asked him in particular if it was a choice on his part to agree to play villain characters. “I don’t know, these are the roles that I’m being offered at the moment because I’m old,” he laughed. The actor showed humor but he nevertheless seems to really enjoy playing these roles. “But it’s a moment in my career that amuses me a lot, all the actors prefer that,”

he said. Characters in which he flourishes.

While he's had a few roles in romantic comedies, Hugh Grant doesn't seem interested in playing one again.
“It’s in the past, I hope anyway,”

he said. Concerning these “villain roles”, this is not the first time that he has declared a preference for them.
“Yes, the bad guys are much easier for me to play because, ultimately, it’s “me”, he declared in particular, then specifying: “When I was the lead in all the romantic comedies, that was a big lie.”

Hugh Grant: a very happy dad

Hugh Grant is a huge actor who needs no introduction. In his private life, he is the father of five children, whom he had after the age of 50. A late fatherhood that he recently agreed to discuss in complete transparency. In the
Kelly Clarkson Showhe made unexpected revelations, opting for humor. “I hide to sleep in the toilet”, he laughed. Although he opted for humor, Hugh Grant nevertheless confided that he was a very happy dad. “I come home at night, and you know, let's face it, the moment where they jump into your arms… My six-year-old daughter calls it her chimpanzee hug. I like it.” he concluded.
