Kate and Anthony absent from season 4? These m…

Visiting the Monte-Carlo television festival on Friday June 14, British actress Simone Ashley spoke about the future of Kate and Anthony Bridgerton in the Netflix series The Bridgerton Chronicles.

In the last episode of season 3 of “Bridgerton”, Kate (Simone Ashley) and Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) decided to leave England for India.

However, they are expected to appear in season 4 of Bridgerton.

Indeed, during her visit to the Monte-Carlo festival, Simone Ashley (Kate) said she was “very impatient to discover the rest of Kate and Anthony’s journey”.

Will Kate and Anthony be in season 4 of Bridgerton ? This is the question that has been tormenting fans of the series for a week. In the last episode of season 3, unveiled on June 13 on Netflix, Kate (Simone Ashley) and Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) have left England in order to give birth to their first child in India, Kate’s country of origin.

A logical decision for the couple which nevertheless raises questions: will Kate and Anthony permanently withdraw from the series, like Daphné (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon (Regé-Jean Page) did before them?

Simon Ashley : “I can’t wait to discover the rest of Kate and Anthony’s journey”

Let the fans rest assured, it seems that Kathony is not done yet The Bridgerton Chronicles. Visiting the Monte-Carlo television festival on June 14 to receive the Golden Nymph for Best International Newcomer 2024, Simone Ashley alias Kate Bridgerton delivered some reassuring words to Télé Star. At the question : “Will Kate and Anthony return next season?” she simply replied: “I can’t wait to see the rest of Kate and Anthony’s journey.”

That’s what it says! Simone Ashley and Jonathan Bailey should indeed appear in the sequel to Bridgerton. It now remains to be seen what role they will play, since they will no longer be the main characters.

Bridgerton season 4 centered on Benedict?

If Netflix has not yet confirmed the main character of season 4, all clues seem to point to Benedict (Luke Thompson). At the end of season 3, Benedict and Eloïse (Claudia Jessie) met at the Bridgerton masked ball. However, in Julia Quinn’s books, it is precisely during this famous ball that Benedict meets Sophie Beckett, his future wife.

Moreover, in the literary saga The Bridgerton Chronicles, Benedict’s love story takes place before that of Colin and Penelope. The writers of the Netflix series decided to prioritize Colin for the sake of consistency, but it would make sense for them to return to Benedict so as not to disrupt the chronology of the novels too much in the rest of the adaptation.

Everything therefore seems to indicate that Benedict will be the main character of season 4. However, other candidates are entering the fray: Eloïse, whose novel is the direct successor to the one about Colin, but also Francesca (Hannah Dodd), who wrote the meeting of his future love interest (Michaela Stirling) at the end of season 3. For now, anything remains possible.
