Arcane season 2: did you really understand the final scenes of the first 3 episodes?

After three years of waiting, fansArcane were finally able to discover the first three episodes of season 2, posted online on November 9, 2024, on Netflix. Mysterious sequences are present at the end of each of these new chapters. And yes, they do signify the arrival of this iconic character from League of Legends.

In just three episodes, season 2 ofArcane directly confirmed to us what we already suspected: the Netflix series is one of the best productions of recent years. But before saying goodbye to Vi, Jinx, Caitlyn, Ekko and the others, at the end of this final season, this adaptation of the video game League of Legends still has a lot to reveal to us.

New characters thus appear, such as young Isha, who follows Jinx wherever she goes, a secret organization called the Black Rose, or even Loris, a Peacemaker who seems to have a link with Vi. Even the Hextech, which we already knew since season 1, now takes new, unexpected forms. But Arcane above all maintains an immense suspense around a protagonist in particular, who we quickly see during cryptic scenes, at the end of the first three episodes of season 2. What do these sequences mean, exactly?

Warning, the rest of this article contains spoilers for the first three episodes of season 2 ofArcane.

Warwick and his “alchemical rage”

The end of the first episode of season 2 takes us for a few seconds into the heart of the cold, facing wolves with piercing eyes, hiding in a cave. The next episode shows us a scientist obviously working on the creation of a beast with a huge heart, multiple cells and sharp claws. Finally, episode 3 reveals large machines, powered by blood and a beast suspended from the ceiling.

All these sequences feature two crucial characters in the plot ofArcane : Singed, who we already know well since it was he who saved Jinx in season 1 thanks to the Shimmer, as well as Warwick, whose sensational entry is imminent in the world of the Netflix series.

These final sequences are particularly important since Singed, who seemed deeply linked to Silco but also to Viktor, whose mentor he is, here gives birth to one of the most iconic playable champions in League of Legends.

In the lore of the game, Warwick is thus a wolf genetically modified following numerous experiments, who now haunts the streets of Zaun. He is attracted to the smell of blood and has a mechanical system of air chambers and pumps, which constantly inject him “an alchemical rage” in the veins. Suffice it to say that Warwick, whose origins have always been mysterious, therefore represents a formidable adversary in LoL.

Vander's return?

Warwick's arrival in the universeArcane could bring down many cards and completely change the trajectory of Vi and Jinx. Several fans are in fact betting on a major revelation: the monster could actually be Vander, their adoptive father, genetically modified by Singed after his death, in episode 3 of season 1.

This could be totally consistent with the astonishing skills of the alchemist, well known to fans of League of Legendswhich have already brought Jinx back to life in the past.

In the universe of League of LegendsVander's hypothesis is already present. When Warwick meets Vi on Summoner's Rift, he mentions the “fear in his eyes”that he has “already seen before”. And when he exchanges with Singed, his “creator”he confides to her: “Zaun gave me claws long before you did.” So many clues which could therefore confirm this sad theory.

Is Singed really who we think he is?

Other attentive fans also noticed an important detail: in the final scenes of the first three episodes of season 2, Singed is always accompanied by a gentle melody, as if coming from a music box, as well as a watch with gusset. A more important element than we think, since it could reveal his true identity: what if the scientist was in reality Colin Reveck, another character from League of Legends ?

In the lore of the game, he is a craftsman who transformed his daughter, Orianna, into a mechanical creature in order to save her from imminent death. A young woman passionate about opera, who just happens to have a gift for creating small figurines like those found in music boxes… In season 1 ofArcaneSinged had already mentioned his own daughter, using the past tense. Would the character therefore be a mix between these two protagonists from the world of LoL ?

So, will Orianna make her appearance in Arcane ? And could Vander temporarily come to his senses, even in Warwick's body, long enough to recognize Vi or Jinx, if they were to confront each other? We will probably have the answer in Act II ofArcanewith three new episodes available from November 16, 2024 on Netflix.
