The final season of “Dancing with the Stars” didn’t go as planned at all. Indeed, behind the scenes, a violent argument broke out between Inès Reg and Natasha St-Piercreating a stir in the media, on social networks or in the corridors of the show. The singer was fired and dropped a handrail, just like her dancer Anthony Colette, while the comedian accused her of racism. An altercation which spoiled the party even if it was Natasha St-Pier who won “Dancing with the Stars” in the final stretch. Since then, the two women have settled their scores through intermediaries, before each resumes the course of their careers. But Inès Reg added fuel to the fire recently by parodying a song by Natasha St-Pier on stage.

“Frankly, it’s a mistake”

Invited on the show “Clique” on Canal+, to promote her new show “On est ensemble”, Inès Reg was obviously questioned about her participation in “Dancing with the stars”. “ I swear, I took it like a vacation, what a mistake! Frankly, it’s a mistake. To be very sincere, I was like: “Ah, I’m going to wear dresses and sequins, so good!” » confides the comedian today, who did not realize the issue behind this show: “ Every Friday evening, I’m going to put on dresses, sequins, I’m going to invite my whole family and put on shows. That’s what I did when I was little, but this 300,000 version. In fact it reminded me that life is not a game “. Besides, originally, his instinct told him not to go: “ I reviewed videos with my team… At the time, someone followed me and filmed everything that happened. I remember saying, “I think, guys, we shouldn’t do this.” Now, my team, my family, my loved ones, everyone tells me: “When you receive something, we listen to you because when you feel, you are not wrong” ».

Inès Reg also returned to the accusations of racism towards Natasha St-Pier. “ I have to say that I did not say that I was a victim of racism. My mistake as a comedian, as I received a lot of horrible messages, death threats, insults, is that I should have talked about it laughing in a story » explains Inès Reg, who did not understand why the singer was afraid of her team “ composed of blacks and Arabs ”, before ensuring that “ everything is better » with the singer. She also denounces the media treatment of this clash: “ It’s very weird, it’s really representative of today’s world, there was this story on social networks, but when we saw each other, we said hello and we said goodbye. We left at the end of the show and that’s it ».

The comedian reveals having been “ super unhappy » et « super sad for a really long time » following this highly publicized affair. Which pushed her to go see a specialist. “ I went to see a girl who does shiatsu, who massages you and who comes to look for things that are wrong. And she told me that I’ll be better the day I thank Natasha. (…) So, I say thank you to Natasha. And today I am happy » declares Inès Reg, who also deplores the impact of all this on her life: “ I’m a victim of this thing, but ultimately, it’s still my name, my career, my life, me, my integrity, my person. And it’s totally the culture of emptiness. What drives me crazy is that we’re making a story about something I didn’t want to make. And so, I find myself talking about it and it pisses people off ».
