“Indefensible”: A once-loved character now gets on viewers’ nerves

It’s fascinating to see how things can change in such a short time in a series. A beloved character can, in the space of just a few months, become difficult for viewers to accept. This is precisely the case of Maxime, played by Mathieu Baron, in Indefensible.

Since he moved to the role of private detective within the Lapointe-Macdonald firm, Maxime seems to have lost his rigor and lets his faults come to light, notably his pride, his “desperate” state of “milk soup” , his anger and many others.

At least, that’s what most viewers who are active on the Facebook page of the legal daily TVA think.

Since his altercations with Me Kim Nolin (Julie Trépanier), Maxime seems more sensitive than before, refusing to admit his lack of maturity in this new profession, although very different from that of a police officer.

It must be said that he is supervised by one of the most… let’s say, nonchalant mentors in the world of private detectives: Claude Gagnon (Nathalie Madore).

Although Claude is very popular with the public, Mathieu Baron’s character has difficulty letting her teach him the trade. An attitude which, just like his spat with Kim, annoys viewers.
