“With the association France 40 Mareuil-Caubert, my goal was to release this book that I have been working on since the beginning of the year,” says Aurélien Dovergne. “In this book, we also talk about the start of the war. The occupation is also remembered with previously unpublished photos given to the association. We can also see the Nazi flag burned on Place Clémenceau and the arrival of the Poles with photos never before published. »

Aurélien Dovergne adds: “the book contains period reports, testimonies as well as a focus on a Polish soldier who was one of the first to liberate the city. We can also discover the list of Polish soldiers killed during the liberation. »

The book is available at the Studio Livres bookstore.

Dedication at Studio Livres this Wednesday, May 22 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Another signing session is planned with eight authors concerning two works on the Battle of Abbeville on Saturday, May 25 at Studio Livres from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
