A new surprise album from Maes has just seen the light of day! It’s called “Waiting for LVC 2”. The project is composed of 10 titles, which is quite short (a 27 min listen). Note thatit does not feature any featsolo rap like the old-fashioned way to the delight of his fans.

Maes doesn’t seem to be bothered by what happens outside of music. As a reminder, on June 5, the rapper was expected before the Paris court to be tried for acts of gang violence committed in 2018. He did not appear before the court as he had already done in October 2023. This did not prevent the court from sentence him to ten months in prison and a fine of 10,000 euros.
The sentence could have been heavier because, annoyed by his absence, the prosecutors had asked for 12 months in prison and a fine of 15,000 euros. In comment, the court declared that the rapper “gives the impression of defying the judicial institution” as quoted by BFMTV which also publishes this sentence from the prosecutor: “It’s a shame because he would have benefited from explaining himself”. Note that no arrest warrant has, however, been issued against him. Remember that following the first arrest warrant issued against him, Maes canceled his concert planned for last February in Paris, at Bercy.
