Generous, touching, fragile: Céline Dion addresses Quebecers for the first time in four years

Céline Dion’s admirers and all those who were curious to finally hear from her were certainly delighted with the interview that Jean-Philippe Dion conducted with her, Sunday evening, on TVA. It had been four years since she had spoken directly to Quebecers.

The greatest singer in the world showed herself to be generous, touching and fragile at the same time, opening up about the stiff person syndrome which forced her to completely redefine her daily life.

The one who hid her illness from the world for a long time, firstly because she did not know what illness she was suffering from – one person in a million suffers from it – said she was much better, which explains why she was seen more often in the last year.

Surrounded by the best specialists, the 56-year-old artist spoke directly to people who, like her, suffer.

“I have been in the dark, and we must not do that because we hurt ourselves more,” she stressed, adding that living alone in pain “makes us die a little faster” .

Children, the main thing

She spoke of having considered the end of her career, knowing however that she still had the most important thing, her children.

“If I have to be in a wheelchair, I’m going to be able to be a super good mother, and then I’m going to win the competition – she imitates someone who moves their wheelchair themselves – because that’s okay roll, it’s going to be “toast”! That’s for sure, there are always solutions.”
