Journalist Hugo Dumas from The Press we learn this morning that the author behind the series Lesarmes, Pierre-Marc Drouin (In Memoriam, Doute Reasonable, Mont-Rouge), has decided not to continue the project after the first season. News which saddens us a little, since the screenwriter’s proposals prove to be particularly intelligent and engaging.
The news was also confirmed at The Press by producer Fabienne Larouche.
However, the series would not be in danger, since the producer wishes to find another screenwriter to continue the project. However, the choice has not yet been made. To be continued!
The heaviness of the annual format and disagreements over the tangent to take with the series would be at the origin of this rather surprising decision.

Since the start of the season, the series The weapons is running at full speed, garnering enviable ratings along the way.
In it, we witness the quest of Louis-Philippe Savard (Vincent-Guillaume Otis), an honest and deserving officer who embarks on a personal investigation to understand what is going on at the Kanawata military base. On his way, he finds Colonel Allan Craig (François Papineau) and his adjutants, determined to maintain secrecy on their operations.
The series continues, Mondays at 8 p.m., on TVA.
Let’s now hope that another well-lit production company will recruit Pierre-Marc Drouin for a new project. We know he is capable of great things!
