“Here it all begins” Summary of the episode of October 16, 2024
Tom plays the therapist
At Double A, Jude catches Milan drinking an energy drink. Milan justifies himself by explaining that he needed to take a pick-me-up, because he had insomnia again last night. Shortly after, Tom apologizes to Milan for spreading the rumor that he was involved in trafficking within the Institute. Milan sends him to the roses. Exhausted by fatigue, he confuses sugar with salt and ruins a preparation. Jude judges that he is not fit to work in a brigade and asks him to go home and rest. He will come back the next day after sleeping.
Milan returns to the Internat. Tom tells him that he had a former girlfriend who had trouble falling asleep and that he did ASMR to her to help her relax. He adds that he has a certain talent in this area. Milan, convinced, closes his eyes. However, he is not receptive to mouth sounds. Tom then decides to stroke some bubble wrap. Milan is not receptive either. To get Tom to leave him alone, Milan then pretends to fall asleep… A few hours later, he takes Jude into his confidence and then asks him if his mistake from that afternoon wasn’t difficult to make up for. Jude tries to reassure him that everyone makes mistakes.
Gary and Thelma succumb
In the park, the complicity between Solal and Zoé does not escape Mattéo who asks them how long they have been together. Zoe acknowledges that they are close, but nothing more. Solal specifies that they are plan T for plan Tendresse. Mattéo is doubtful. A little later, he takes Thelma and Gary into his confidence. They assure Mattéo that they are capable of doing like Solal and Zoé and without a second thought. Mattéo is skeptical. They think things are going to get out of hand between them. In the afternoon, between two classes, Thelma and Gary share a good time around a drawing activity. But the temperature rises a notch when Gary says he prefers to draw nudes. Thelma jumps at the chance to take off her t-shirt. The tension is palpable between the two students of the Institute. They end up sharing an intimate moment. Do they have feelings for each other?
Laetitia makes a radical decision
Lætitia hesitates to accept the position of maître d’hôtel in a Parisian palace. She learned about the responsibilities linked to this position, which involves managing 35 employees. She confides to Lionel that she doesn’t feel up to it. Lionel is certain that she will be able to deal with the situation and asks her if her hesitation is not in reality linked to Stanislas. Lætitia confides to him that she can’t help but imagine that he will show up at her door, tell her that he loves her and that he forgives her. She adds that she has to accept the idea that this might never happen. Stanislas, for his part, confides in Hortense and Alice. He still loves Laetitia and does not want to see her leave. Hortense encourages him to fight to keep her close to him. However, Stanislas refuses to ask Lætitia to give up her career to stay with him. Alice thinks that Lætitia deserves to know Stanislas’s feelings before making a decision. A few moments later, Stanislas sends a text message to Lætitia to set up a meeting. Hippolyte goes to meet his son. Stanislas confides to her that he intends to tell Laetitia that he wants to give their story a second chance. Hippolyte asks him if he is aware that she will then have to give up her career. “You are so afraid that she will escape you that you are ready to prevent her from achieving her ambitions” he then emphasizes. Stanislas admits that he is afraid of losing Laetitia. Hippolyte replies that love sometimes requires knowing how to let the other person go. Then he takes leave of his son as his taxi is about to arrive. He decided to go to the clinic that Stanislas recommended to him. Stanislas assures his father that he will come to visit him. Hippolyte and his son hug each other.
A little later, Stanislas joins Laetitia at the café. She is full of hope and believes that reconciliation is possible. But her illusions will quickly be shattered by her ex-sweetheart who tells her that no going back is possible. Laetitia takes the blow with difficulty. Back at the Institute, Stanislas confides to Hortense and Alice that he lied to Laetitia so that she would take the position. He then explains to his colleagues that his mother had been a chef, but that she had given up everything for her relationship, and he does not want Laetitia to do the same and suffer for it later. For her part, Laetitia confides in Lionel, who points out that if Stanislas fails to recognize how exceptional she is, it is he who has a problem, and not her. Laetitia agrees with him. Then, she telephoned Franck Vallière and accepted the position in Paris.
