Since the 1990s, he has evolved professionally in the world of sport, and more particularly that of athletics. He has indeed been crowned French Champion several times in the cadet category over 100 meters and in combined events, and holds several French cadet records (60m, 110m hurdles, 200m). On his good start, he subsequently distinguished himself at the Junior World Championships, even setting world records.
In the adult categories, Ladji Doucouré was just as successful, winning individual European and world titles. He also participated three times at the Olympic Gamesin Athens (2004), Beijing (2008) and London (2012). The athlete, now 41 years old, retired in 2017 and has since been a trainer at INSEP (National Institute of Sport, Expertise and Performance). He is also the coach of the great athletics hopeful Sacha Zhoya.

Ladji Doucouré is also familiar with the world of television since he has already participated in Dancing with the stars in 2019, on TF1, finishing second with his partner Inès Vandamme behind Sami El Gueddari and Fauve Hautot. He also tried the experiment Fort Boyard.
On the private side, Ladji Doucouré was in a relationship with Rachel Legrain-Trapani (Miss France 2007) from 2007 to 2009. The latest news is that he is in perfect love with a pretty blonde about whom we know nothing. Furthermore, the athlete is the happy father of a little girl called Meyissa (8 ans).
