While the Paris Olympics will not take place until July, the festivities have already started. Indeed, the Olympic flame landed in Marseille this Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
For this occasion, Julian Bugier appeared on Télématin with a smile on his lips. He witnessed this special moment and commented on it on the air, around 9:30 in the morning.
“There is a crazy atmosphere, you have really set the Old Port on fire. Thank you for making us experience this first part of the day”did he declare.
Julian Bugier therefore seems to have had a good time in the south of France. So much so that he forgot to zip his fly! A rather embarrassing detail which sparked the reaction of his colleagues at France 2.

Faced with this situation, Thomas Sotto, present on the Télématin set, did not hesitate to make fun of him.

Focus on Julian Bugier
The presence of Julian Bugier in Marseille for the arrival of the Olympic flame proves that he is one of the key faces of France 2. At the age of 43, he has already had a great career in the world of TV.
He made his debut on the small screen at the age of 19 as a journalist at Bloomberg TV in London.
Returning to France years later, he joined the BFM TV team. He worked there as an economics journalist. Jacques Bugier’s son has also already worked on the i>Télé channel, presenting La matinale weekend.
It was only in 2011 that he joined the France 2 channel. He first presented the weekend news before becoming David Pujadas’ joker for the 8 p.m. news. And since 2021, he has taken the place of Marie-Sophie Lacarrau by providing the 1 p.m. news.
On the private side, Julian Bugier has been in a relationship with Claire Fournier for several years. Together, they have two children, a boy and a girl, born in 2011 and 2013. So he has everything to be fulfilled.
