Berthier and Nathalie see each other again
Nathalie lost her job and is actively looking for a new job. She explains her situation to Tom, who notices how determined she is. Before her son leaves for school, she tells him that she won’t be home tonight because she is going to the movies. Meanwhile, at AL Cosmétiques, Berthier, lost in thought, makes a mistake. Léonor points this out to him, then asks him if he still thinks of Mathilde. Laurent affirms that this is not the case.
Léonor takes advantage of a break to discuss the accountant’s romantic situation with Carine. An idea crosses her mind: introduce Laurent to a fifty-year-old ex-colleague who has just separated from her partner. She is funny and nice. Carine is convinced that this is the woman he needs. Enric interferes in their conversation and thinks that their colleagues must stop meddling in Laurent’s affairs of the heart. Léonor points out that Bilal heard Laurent talking on the phone and according to him, he would have once again become infatuated with a person he does not know. Enric points out that Laurent didn’t ask them anything and strongly suggests that they leave him alone.
After work, Léonor meets Carine in town to go for a drink. Marc’s partner explains to his colleague that Laurent did not want to come because he already has something planned. Carine confides to her colleague that it suits her a little, because she oversold their favorite colleague to her friend. Moreover, Mélissa joins them and Carine makes the introductions. Meanwhile, Nathalie finds Laurent in front of the cinema. She is happy to see him again. At the end of the session, Laurent and Natalie debrief about the film. Then, Laurent invites Nathalie to dinner at the restaurant. She declines because she has to get up early tomorrow. Laurent appears understanding, but misunderstands. At the police station, Becker, Manu and Alex take stock by telephone with Judge Alphand. Clément explains to Cécile that their main suspect admits to having burglarized the Aguerra home. However, he claims that Anne never told him about her husband, their fortune and the safe. Becker specifies that Bourdet was informed by a certain “Sylvain” he met in a café. He suggests to Judge Alphand to carry out a reconstruction to have more information on what really happened. Cécile replies that it is already planned. The reenactment will take place tomorrow. She then asks the police to focus on Bordet’s informant as well as his accomplice.
Claire spent the weekend in Alès with Kira and returned late last night. At the start of the morning, she gets busy, because she risks arriving late at the hospital. Florent questions her about her trip. Claire responds quite coldly to her companion that if he wants news from Kira, he just has to call her or arrange to accompany her next time.
At the Aguerra house, Cédric shows Arnaud the photo of a sailboat available for sale and at the prices they have set. In fact, the two friends have always dreamed of taking a boat trip. Arnaud reminds Cédric that they must keep a low profile for the moment. He then emphasizes that he really likes Thaïs.
Not far from there, at the high school, Thaïs receives a call from the police station informing her that she must attend a reconstruction of the burglary at the Aguerras’ house the next day. The high school student subsequently confides to her friend Maéva that she dreads this moment. Maéva tries to reassure her by telling her that everything will be fine.
Florent, for his part, managed to obtain a meeting with Anne and told her about the reconstruction. He tells her that the purpose of this reconstruction is to highlight the inconsistencies and lies that were told during the hearings. Anne points out that everything has always turned against her. Pessimistic, she is convinced that this will also be the case with this reconstruction. Florent tries to reassure her by telling her that this will allow them to find new elements that will exonerate her. But Anne confides to him that she does not have the strength to relive Philippe’s death a second time and even less so in front of his assassin.
At the police station, the investigation is progressing. The bartender of the bar where Anne’s former lover frequents has made a composite portrait of his accomplice. And it’s Cédric!
In the evening, Arnaud calls Thaïs to find out if she is coming tomorrow, which is the case. Far from imagining that he is involved in the burglary, the young woman tells him that she will be there to support him. Arnaud thanks her for being there for him. A little later, he receives a call from David, the nurse. After offering his condolences, David asks Arnaud to send them his father’s death certificate to close his transplant file. Arnaud replies that he must be wrong, because his father was no longer eligible. David checks and confirms to the young man that his father was indeed eligible for a second transplant. He specifies that Philippe was informed of this three weeks ago. Arnaud realizes that his father could have had a new heart and therefore lived. He feels the blow with difficulty.
