Dismissed from her volunteer activity within the Restos du Cœur after her testimony at the microphone of Paul Larrouturou, Colombe asked this Monday to be reinstated in the association.

Colombe’s lawyer contests the article of the association’s regulations, on which it relies to justify the withdrawal of its volunteer, namely: “At the door of restaurants, we abandon our political and religious positions. Let us avoid confusion: if a volunteer is invested with an elective mandate, he must take leave during electoral periods and not use the image of the restaurants for political activity.”
In the letter, Colombe’s lawyer confirms that she resigned of her own accord under pressure from a local official who called her on May 3 and ordered her to do so. “following her comments on May 1, which according to her constituted a ‘mistake’ with regard to the volunteers’ charter”. “Respectful of the hierarchy and the rules, Colombe did not resist and reluctantly submitted her resignation. The latter was therefore indeed pushed out.”
As for restaurants, we defend ourselves against it. “We just gave her a reminder of the rules. (…) Maybe she felt pushed out. And so she left. There is a procedure for excluding volunteers which did not at all been activated”assured a national manager to TF1.
