This Sunday in April, the Corsican duo finalist of the 18th season of Beijing Expressthe flagship game of M6stopped off at this four-star establishment in Saint-Florent for a somewhat special event: a “Pékin Express” cocktail, specially concocted for guests.

Between August 28 and October 9, Patricia Belmudès and Jessica Aben, both from the Bastia region, Borgo And Biguglia, traveled the roads of South-East Asia in front of the M6 cameras, facing other pairs. The two women are office colleagues and have known each other for eight years.
It’s even Patricia, the company’s human resources manager. Capembal in Borgo, who had interviewed Jessica, recruited as the company’s accountant.
The two quickly hit it off. But nothing predestined them to travel Asia together. “I came to his office on a Friday morning and I just asked him the question: “What would you say if we signed up for Beijing Express together?“”says Jessica.
Banco! The first dreams of traveling and challenging herself, the second aspires to get away from everyday life by setting herself a challenge. The two friends take the plunge and are selected from more than 40,000 candidates. The start of an adventure.
“We set out to give everything”
“When we go into a competition like this, it’s to give everythingbelieves Patricia. We wanted to go to the red carpet, and here we are.” In any case, their boss had warned them, in a joking tone: “If you lose in the first episode, there’s no point setting foot here again. It would be a shame.”
The duo understood the message and worked hard to secure their place in the final, after nine shows. It must be said that luck was there: eliminated on March 7, Patricia and Jessica were drafted by the production two weeks later, after the abandonment of the duo formed by Myriam and Patrick.
What struck them the most in this adventure? “The final will remain a moment engraved foreverthey respond immediately. It was the culmination of 45 days of adventure on the other side of the world with incredible encounters. But one thing is certain: there will be, for us, a before and after Beijing Express.”
In 2020, Julie and Denis, a couple of restaurateurs from Solenzarahad won the adventure game.
