Should we watch this movie about the emancipation of a young mother who is a garbage collector?

SOn Télévisions, it is not uncommon for fiction to spark debate. It is even one of the specificities of the public service: questioning society to better understand it through its programs, and then extending the reflection on set, carried by experts and witnesses.

The movie On trialwhich France 2 is broadcasting this Wednesday, September 25, is part of these continuous evenings and will therefore be followed by a debate on the theme “Single mothers, the trap of precariousness”, hosted by Julian Bugier.

Amber (Frankie Wallach) is 20 years old… and has a 4-year-old son. At an age when her friends are only worried about their upcoming exams, she has to combine her classes and revisions for her student life with her life as a single mother. While she can count on her parents, with whom she lives and who help her take care of her little Nolan, she must also deal with their expectations about her future and accept the growing role that her invasive mother is taking on.
