Booksellers have decided to please their customers this Saturday, April 27, on the Independent Bookstore Festival celebrated in more than 500 stores in France. At Lilosimages, rue de Genève, the booksellers will offer “Nobody’s Animals”, a book of illustration and poetry based on the observation of the animal world. A very beautiful object, specially published by Gallimard in more than 25,000 copies, signed by the visual artist Edi Dubien and the poet Jacques Roubaud, of the OuLiPo movement.
Cosmopolite will also respect the tradition of Saint Jordi, who comes from Spain and wanted booksellers to offer roses and “collector” books on that day. The Champ-de-Mars bookstore will take the opportunity to invite authors at 3:30 p.m. to sign. Hélène Chambaud for “One day I dreamed bigger”, Lucas Météhé for her comic “Gosse Taigne”, Sophie Poirier for her book “la femme domino”, Yoon Sun-Park for her comic “Bang” and Sophie Avon for “ The taste of happiness.” At 3 p.m. at Café Cosmo, Françoise will share her favorites in paperback books.
