Unfortunately for all those who love the detective series born in 2011: the end is fast approaching. The production of Vera’s Investigations has in fact announced the end of the series after a final season which should be filmed this summer and broadcast next year across the Channel. “Working on Vera was a joy from start to finish and I’m sad to say goodbye. But I am very proud of what we have accomplished over the last fourteen years. I will be forever grateful to the wonderful Ann Cleeves, who created Vera, and to Elaine Collins, who saw fit to give me the role. The producers, the dream cast and crew were fabulous and I will miss them, but I will not forget their immense talent, the camaraderie, the laughter or the kindness we shared, nor the friendship of the people of the Northeast and our fans around the world”reacted Brenda Blethyn who plays the inspector.
