And my mother never came up,” he said. Unfortunately for him, the mother of one of his classmates rang his doorbell one day to collect her son’s stereo. He had led her to believe that it was a present for his 13th birthday, so she realized that something was wrong. “My mother, she comes up to my room. At my place, it was Darty. I had CD players, but I had dozens of them, hi-fi systems, I must have had five, I had jackets everywhere”he detailed.
His mother discovered his little game and forced him to give back all his winnings.
But for young Cyril Hanouna there was no question of giving back what he had honestly won through bets, unfortunately his mother did not see it that way. “My mother, she hallucinated. Afterwards, she called all the mothers, she gave everything back. I didn’t speak to my mother for two months,” he concluded.
