The orchestra that performed alongside Aya Nakamura on the Pont des Arts during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games was invited to perform a medley on the “C à vous” stage.

As has often been the case since her return, Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine hosted a musical interlude on her set on Tuesday, September 10. After Philippe Katerine completely naked or Mosimann and his exclusive composition, it was the turn of the Republican Guard to perform on the stage of “C à vous”. On the program, six men led by their conductor, performed instrumentally and in a row Take me away by Charles Aznavour, The Champs-Élysées by Joe Dassin then I will survive by Gloria Gaynor.

Cheered by guests, columnists and the talk show host, the orchestra that performed alongside Aya Nakamura during the Olympic Games opening ceremony then stood in front of the cameras to make introductions. Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine then named each of the members, mentioning their ranks and instruments. Gendarmes on the mellophone, trumpet, sousaphone, a brigadier on the drums, a chief brigadier on the trombone. The host concluded by quoting the chief sergeant playing the trumpet, Luc Simerey.

“Happy birthday to Luc’s father”

And Babeth lingered longer on this last member of the orchestra for a surprising reason. “And we wish a happy birthday to Michel Simerey, Luc’s father, because Luc forgot to wish him happy birthday.”she blurted out, as if she were no stranger to the family. A remark that did not fail to make the guests of “C à vous” laugh, as well as her instrument acolytes, and to bring a smile to the soldier’s face. “That’s not good, Luc.”she said. “So I’m in charge of wishing the sergeant’s father a happy birthday in his place. This is not serious.”she shouted, feigning annoyance. And added, addressing the conductor: “Rest! Come join us, dear commander.”
