Valentin, a 27-year-old farmer from La Manche, welcomed his two suitors to the farm. But one of them forgot to get off the train. Once there, the two young women sent each other their first barbs.
Happy, kind, generous, party-loving, funny… According to his family and friends, Valentin has everything of the ideal man. At 27, this farmer is in charge of a herd of 85 dairy cows in the Manche. At 19, he suddenly lost his father in a road accident. So he threw himself into work. And today, he intends to find love. Following the speed-dating event organized in Paris for “Love is in the meadow”, he invited two young women to his farm: Flavie and Ilona.
If Flavie arrived first by car at the farm, the second suitor came by train. When the Intercités stopped at the station, Ilona was not there. She had forgotten to get off in time! “We contacted Ilona, who made a mistake or forgot to get off, and so now we’re going to pick her up at the next station,” the farmer said in the episode broadcast Monday evening on M6. Valentin therefore went to the next station, 30 km further, to pick up his sweetheart.
But once in the car, while Ilona was eating a sandwich, the atmosphere quickly deteriorated between the two suitors. The origin of the disagreement? The evening meal between meat and vegetables. Ilona, sitting on the passenger side, did not hesitate to criticize Valentin’s driving: “You’re not driving fast enough, you’re getting overtaken”. Once at the farmer’s house – for which the suitors did not offer any compliments, which slightly upset Valentin, after his work – the tensions continued while preparing a yogurt cake… without yogurt.
During the episode, the young farmer invited his sister, his mother and their companions to dinner. The opportunity for Valentin’s sister to ask many questions to the suitors. If Flavie seemed at ease, Ilona seemed more withdrawn. But Valentin did not forget his attitude earlier in the day.
“Ilona, she has a character that I had not seen before… It’s stuck, I lose patience and that’s what’s complicated,” the young man confided to the camera, on the sidelines of the meal. Has Valentin already chosen his Valentine in his head? Answer in the coming weeks.

Pascal, a cow and sheep farmer, has only received two letters from suitors. Murielle and Véronique were seduced by the portrait of the farmer who had admitted, in his portrait, to having been an alcoholic in the past. He met the two women in Paris. First Véronique with whom he did not have a feeling. Then Murielle with whom he hit it off right away. Contrary to the rules of the show, the production of “Love is in the meadow” offered Pascal to invite both women or just one to his farm. Pascal chose to invite only Murielle.
