This Monday’s episode of season 19 of Love is in the Meadow focused M6’s cameras on Ludovic, the winegrower from Aude, and Brice, a salt worker in New Aquitaine but a former tennis teacher in Catalan country.

With Marie, a 67-year-old suitor from Gruissan, and Ludovic, a 28-year-old winegrower in Fabrezan, Aude is in the spotlight in this 19th season of M6’s flagship show, L’Amour est dans le Pré. But the region is also represented by Brice, 38, a salt producer in… Charente-Maritime, certainly, but a former tennis teacher near Perpignan.

And it was the search for love of these last two that was in the spotlight this Monday evening. Both very shy, they are not at the same stage of their romantic adventure. Brice saw his suitors for the first time during the speed dating organized in Paris while Ludovic was already welcoming Manon and Mélanie to Fabrezan.

“Too kind”

And it is the sentimental journey of the romantic Ludovic that has already fascinated France for a few weeks while M6 seems to have already spoiled itself with the broadcast of images of upcoming episodes. We saw Ludovic, on the banks of a river, offering a ring to a suitor as a token of his fidelity. The face of the beautiful stranger chosen was not revealed but perceptive viewers seemed to have recognized the wine merchant Mélanie by her watch and her rings.

Suffice to say that this Monday’s episode was mainly intended to provide new proof of Ludovic’s upcoming choice.

But he will have highlighted the reasons for the seductive Ludovic’s celibacy. “You are too nice to girls, sometimes you maybe do a little too much. It can be scary” explained the winegrower’s sister. Same analysis for his mother: “When you love someone, you would do anything for them”. “You were not born in the right era”, she also decided.

Ludovic, himself, admitted, in this episode, “to want something serious”. And he said more about his participation in the show. “Meetings, here, it didn’t work. I tried all the attempts (sic) and this year, I really feel ready this year to invest myself in something serious”. The new expression was of course a delight on social networks while on screen, Ludovic and his suitors displayed a nice complicity. “There is no coincidence” said Ludovic again who seemed to be on the same wavelength as Manon and Mélanie. He then quoted Dumbledore, the fictional character from Harry Potter: “Words are like magic depending on how you use them, it can do good or bad”. Quite a program!

Brice too shy?

For his part, the very shy Brice often blushed during his speed dating, turning almost scarlet when the Barcelonan Marion and Mélanie, his two favorites, charmed him. A shyness on which he returned while M6 rebroadcast extracts of his portrait.

Far from the clichés about blond surfers and tennis teachers, Brice admitted to “not knowing how to flirt”. “I can’t get into seduction. I lose my words, sometimes I sweat, I feel like I’m 12 and petrified”. In the end, the speed dating went better than expected for the touching former tennis teacher at Club Med who taught in Catalonia before changing careers and whose adventures will certainly not lack spice.

Season 19 of Love is in the Meadow is broadcast every Monday at 9:10 p.m. on M6 and can be watched in replay.
