“Zorro”, saison 1 (Paramount+)

With this new adaptation, Noé Debré and Benjamin Charbit modernize the vigilante while retaining his heroic panache. The series is full of new ideas, sometimes too many, but skillfully plays between the different registers of comedy.

“Slow Horses”, saison 4 (Apple TV+)

MI5’s closeted agents are back in action in an excellent fourth season. On the program: action, suspense, dark humor and intimate dramas. A pure delight, once again.

“Mum”, season 1 (Arte.tv)

Priceless moments in the company of Cathy and her deliciously unbearable relatives. Everything is successful in this British sitcom carried by incredibly fine writing and actors at their zenith.

“A Perfect Couple”, miniseries (Netflix)

The day before a wedding, a guest is found dead. A basic scenario for yet another game of Cluedo among the rich without originality. With, surprise, a Nicole Kidman as a repressed bourgeois…

A rural thriller? This is the bias of the “event series of the new school year”, which aims to explore an arena that is admittedly little exploited. If the idea was attractive, it comes up against an overly wise execution. Too bad…
