Apple prices showed varying trends in Poland, Italy, France and Germany when comparing the current season 2024/25 (red line) to the previous season 2023/24 (green line). In Poland, apple prices have started to increase this season, with prices in August at €69/100 kg compared to €57/100 kg the previous year. This trend has continued over the first few months, with November prices also showing a notable increase, from €57/100 kg last season to €69/100 kg this season.

In Italy, apple prices followed a similar trend to last year, but remained slightly lower for most months. In August, prices were €92/100 kg this year, below the €101/100 kg recorded last season. The gap closed in October, with prices of €996/100 kg this year, compared to €96/100 kg also last year. In December, prices approached €98/100 kg for the current season and €96/100 kg for the previous season.

In France, apple prices were significantly higher this year compared to the 2023/24 campaign. August prices reached €142/100 kg, compared to €131/100 kg last year, and maintained a significant lead in September and October, where prices reached €144/100 kg, compared to €144/ 100 kg in September, and €143/100 kg, compared to €141/100 kg in October. However, the gap narrowed in November and December, with current prices standing at €134/100 kg, barely lower than last year’s €138/100 kg.

In Germany, apple prices have fallen slightly this season compared to the 2023/24 season. In August, prices were €86/100 kg this year, compared to €76/100 kg last year. This decline continued in October and November, where prices rose to €77/100 kg last season, compared to €81/100 kg this year.
