Follow our live coverage of the American elections, this Wednesday, November 6

Georgia goes to the Republican camp

In 2020, the results were very close in Georgia. Voters in this key state chose Joe Biden: the Democrat obtained 49.5% of the vote, while the Republican received 49.3% of the vote.

This Wednesday, the state swung to the Republican side: Donald Trump won its 16 electors, obtaining 50.9% of the vote, according to current estimates.

Pennsylvania chooses Donald Trump

Same thing for Pennsylvania: this pivotal state opted for Joe Biden in 2020, who obtained 50% of the vote.

But today, it was Donald Trump who got his hands on Pennsylvania. He would have obtained 51% of the votes, compared to 48.1% for Kamala Harris.

Just like Wisconsin

It was this vote that allowed Donald Trump to officially win the election: while voters had voted 49.6% for Joe Biden in 2020, this time it was the Republican candidate who won. He would obtain 49.9% of the votes, more than a point ahead of his opponent, who would have 48.6% of the votes.

Results still awaited in five states

The counting of ballots is not finished. We are still awaiting final results in five states: Michigan, Nevada, Arizona, Alaska and Maine.
