Second chance for the Lausanne fireworks: after its cancellation on August 1st due to bad weather and swell on the lake – the barges and their explosive cargo were blocked at Bouvet – the pyrotechnic show is rearranged. When will the inhabitants of Lausanne see the fires of August 1st? Saturday September 2 at 9:30 p.m., the City of Lausanne said on Friday.

The date was not chosen by chance. The fires will take place during the popular festival “Ouchy celebrates its lake”, organized by the Society for the Development of Ouchy Interests (SDIO). The syndic of Lausanne, Grégoire Junod, will give a speech at 8 p.m. on the Place de la Navigation. An aperitif will then be offered to the population, writes the Lausanne Municipality in a press release.
