Local bands Pilote, Dirty Oil and Poppy and Does With Bobs will perform June 14-25.
Press release from the Côte-d’Or departmental council of June 13, 2023:
SHUT! is back: the local music scene in the spotlight in the libraries of Côte-d’Or!
Building on its success since 2016, the CHUT! is back for a 6th edition. Supported by the Department and more particularly its Côte-d’Or Media Library, this festival will be held from Wednesday June 14 to Sunday June 25 in various municipalities(1) and this year again, current music will be on the agenda with 3 local groups in guests: Pilote, Dirty Oil and Poppy, Does With Bobs.
Everywhere in the department, near the libraries, they will perform in concert during 9 outdoor performances. This festival will also give rise to activities organized by the libraries, before or during the concert: exhibitions, musical workshop, musical entertainment with children, presentation of books and CDs….
Through the CHUT! festival, the Côte-d’Or Media Library is positioning itself on the musical level (in addition to discs, animation tools and musical training) and promotes access to culture for all and throughout the territory by partnership with libraries and local cultural players (music schools, colleges, social centres, etc.).
This free musical event open to all is part of the department’s cultural policy, the objectives of which are to disseminate culture as close as possible to the Côte-d’Oriens, the animation of the territories, including rural ones, and the promotion of young local artists.
(1) The municipalities concerned are as follows: Belleneuve, Châtillon-sur-Seine, Marcilly-sur-Tille, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Pouilly-en-Auxois, Ruffey-lès-Beaune, Saint-Apollinaire, Thorey-en- Plain and Thorey-sous-Charny.
