A 26-year-old South African hostess died suspiciously on board a yacht moored in the port of Nice on Saturday morning.
This Monday noon, nothing suggests the tragedy that took place two days earlier on the port of Nice, aboard a boat where a young woman lost her life. The 26-year-old victim from South Africa succumbed to a serious fall. She had worked for two years aboard the Goose, a british yacht 45 meters.
She was found unconscious by a crew member. He immediately began to give him a cardiac massage before passing the baton to the SMUR and the firefighters. Unfortunately, despite their strenuous efforts, they failed to save her.
“She was a hostess. She had come for the season“, confides a regular of the port. “She slipped down a staircase inside… And she died. It is a tragic accident. She was only 26…it’s really sad!“.
The first elements of the investigation seem to confirm this version. The legal support group (GAJ) of the departmental security is in charge of the investigation and largely favors the accidental track. Note that the young woman’s companion also worked on board.
The Goose, currently for sale, is one of the most beautiful ships lined up at Port Lympia, with its navy blue-white hull, five cabins (excluding crew) and two floors. It was from one of these levels that the young employee fell. Her cervical vertebrae were badly injured, and unfortunately she could not be revived.
