Edgardo “Patón” Bauza, a respected figure in Argentinian football, was recently honored by the Liga de Quito during a moving ceremony in Ecuador. Known not only for his remarkable career as a player, but also as a resilience lighthouse for society, Bauza’s journey is truly inspiring.
Having imposed as an idol to Rosario Central and representing Argentina during the 1990 World Cup, he then distinguished himself as a coach, in particular thanks to his successful passages to Rosario Central, Liga de Quito and San Lorenzo. His mandate in San Lorenzo allowed him to raise the prestigious Copa Libertadores, a feat which earned him a well -deserved recognition, even if his subsequent role with the national team has not resulted in lasting success.
However, Bauza’s heritage transcends the world of football. His inflexible spirit in the face of cognitive disease has made a model, illustrating the strength and perseverance that resonate deeply among fans and players.
