The public meeting on the food project and the use of agricultural land took place in the multipurpose room of Bédouès, which brought together around thirty participants. This meeting was organized within the framework of the territory food project, by the PETR (pole of territorial and rural balance) Sud Lozère, with the collaboration of land of links, the SAFER (company of land development and rural establishment ) Occitanie and the Chamber of Agriculture.
The municipal team has maintained and developing agriculture on its territory one of its priorities. Since 2021, she has initiated a work to mobilize agricultural land in connection with the Petr Sud Lozère.
Initially, the study on vacant and without masters (BSVM) was conducted by SAFER to allow the integration of certain properties to the municipal heritage, as well as a study on sectional and communal land, in order to Secure the land used by farmers. A first public meeting was organized to evoke with the inhabitants the past agricultural uses, present and future in Bedouès-Cocurès. The cards produced on this occasion were also supplemented by the participants.
This second meeting made it possible to reflect together on concrete actions to make the municipality, a nourishing territory, whether thanks to the diversification of agricultural activities or the initiatives of inhabitants. Some ideas that could take root in the coming months: call for applications for the allocation of agricultural land from the BVSM procedure, to consolidate farms or install new ones, identification of harvested orchards by the inhabitants, creation of an oven Communal and collective culture of the typical onion of Bedouès. The animation will therefore continue so that elected officials and residents make these ideas push.
