A 14-year-old teenager died this Saturday after being stabbed in on Friday evening after being the victim of an attempted theft of his cell phone. Two minors aged 16 and 17 were arrested.

A 14-year-old teenager died this Saturday, January 25 after being attacked leaving football training, in the 14th arrondissement of Paris on Friday, BFMTV learned from the Parisian prosecutor’s office, confirming information from Actu Paris.

Two suspects, both minors, were taken into custody. They are accused of assaulting the victim after trying to steal his cell phone.

· A phone theft caused the attack

The events took place near the Jules Noël sports center, around 8 p.m. The teenager, threatened by the two suspects, initially refused to give up his cell phone before receiving a violent stab in the shoulder.

First aid measures were carried out by a friend of the victim. He was then taken care of by emergency services in a state of absolute emergency. His death was pronounced this Saturday around noon.

· Two minors arrested

The two suspects were born in May 2007 and August 2008. They are both known to the courts. One was the subject of a judicial educational measure in December 2023 for acts of theft and extortion.

The two minors were also referred on October 30, 2024 for acts of theft committed with violence and were prohibited from coming into contact with each other. They were quickly identified and arrested after the events on Friday January 24.
