The Philips Hue app has been updated to version 5.34. The latest version is available for iOS and Android users. However, there is a difference between the two versions this time.
The changelog for both versions introduces the new arming schedule automation. This feature was spotted shortly after the previous update, version 5.33. It was initially locked and not mentioned in the accompanying patch notes. A few days later, users reported that the feature had become available. However, this is the first official announcement from Philips Hue.
Arming Schedule Automation lets you set specific times for Hue Secure products, like the Battery Camera (currently $179.99 at Amazon), to turn on or off. You will find this tool under the Automations tab; it’s near the bottom of the list when you click the “+” icon. Here you can select up to eight time slots, with the possibility of configuring each day of the week individually and creating several programs.
In the Android app changelog, Philips Hue also mentions a new split view for foldable phones. According to the company, this allows users to view more orders at once. You can download version 5.34 of the Philips Hue app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
