Recently, a new alert emerged on thyme sold at Leclerc, Intermarché and Auchan, under the Esprit Bio brand. This product, used in particular for infusions, was also released in several brands between December 3, 2024 and January 16, 2025.

This product has a GTIN Code 3160920774409 as well as batch numbers 0680824824 and 0774733724. Packaged in a kraft cardboard case with a plastic window, containing 60 grams of thyme in bulk, it must no longer be consumed.
In addition, this thyme was available in many points of sale of the Leclerc, Carrefour, Intermarché, Auchan, and other brands. Customers can also consult the complete list of stores concerned on the Rappel Conso website.
To limit the risks, brands like Leclerc recommend not consuming this product. Please note that consumers can return it to the store until April 21, 2025. This is to obtain a refund.

A customer service department has also been created to answer questions from all consumers. They can call 01 47 20 39 56. This approach aims to guarantee the tranquility and security of potential buyers.
The problem identified in this Leclerc recall concerns contamination by pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PA). The latter were detected in quantities above the regulatory limit.
