Sentenced to death in Indonesia, Serge Atlaoui will be transferred to France

Incarcerated for 17 years for drug trafficking, Serge Atlaoui, now aged 61, will be repatriated to France on February 4. An agreement between Indonesia and France must be signed at 3 p.m. in Jakarta and 10 a.m. French time.
As a reminder, it was in 2007 that Serge Atlaoui was sentenced to death, two years after his arrest in a factory in the suburbs of Jakarta, which turned out to be an ecstasy production line. The former welder from Metz has always denied having taken part in drug trafficking, claiming to have been recruited to install machines.
