A suspect has been identified and is actively sought by the police after the death of a couple in Saint-Martin-aux-Chartrains in Calvados, reports this Thursday “ici Normandie” (ex-France Bleu). This is a resident of the town who fled in a vehicle whose license plate was detected while passing over the Pont de Normandie, in the direction of Seine-Maritime, according to information from “here Normandy”.
A gendarmerie helicopter was thus mobilized in the middle of the day in the Bolbec sector (Seine-Maritime) before moving and undertaking rotations in the Yvetot sector (Seine-Maritime).

The Caen public prosecutor confirms the death of the two young people aged 20. The two victims had not given any sign of life since Wednesday when they went shopping by car. Their disappearance had been reported to the Pont-l’Évêque gendarmerie.
Their vehicle was found near the town hall of the commune of Saint-Martin-aux-Chartrains. Their dog was then wandering around. The bodies found shortly after showed, for one, “significant wounds on the face and on the other, traces likely to correspond to bullet impacts“, specifies the Caen prosecutor. An autopsy is already planned for the coming days.
In its press release, the prosecution indicates that “the circumstances in which these two young people were killed and the reasons why they were killed are not known and no hypothesis is excluded“. A judicial investigation was opened against X for murder. The investigations are now continuing under the direction of an investigating judge.
