Argentinian international fly-half Nicolas Sanchez, who holds the record for the number of points scored in the Pumas jersey, announced his retirement on his Instagram account.

After many years of dedication, effort and passion, I decided to retire from , a sport that formed me as a player, but also as a person” said Sanchez (36 years old, 104 caps).

From 2010 to 2023, Sanchezpassed notably by -Bègles, or the Stade français in the Top 14, scored 902 points in the jersey of Pumasa record.

Trained in Tucuman, Sanchez had scored all the points during the historic victory against the New Zealand (25-15) on November 14, 2020, the first in the history of Argentina.
