Photographer Constance Proux wins the 2025 edition of the Grand Prix Germaine Van Parys, which aims to raise awareness of female photographic creation, the City of Bruxelles in a press release.

Constance Proux will benefit from a grant of 8,000 euros to produce an original project on Bruxelles which will be exhibited at the end of the year. She will engage in collaborative work with students from a language school, based in the center of Bruxellesand will question through it how learning a language (Dutch) contributes to redefining dreams, aspirations, relationships with others, with the city and ultimately with identity itself, continues the City.

Three mentoring grants (Discovery Prizes) were also awarded to Eloïse Brunet, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Bruxelles in 2024, to Nina Robert and Amélie Testenoire-Lafayette, both graduates from La Cambre in 2022.

Éloïse Brunet’s project proposes to create links through photography by carrying out photo workshops with young people experiencing parental breakdown, specifies the press release. Nina Robert plans to undertake a raw film photo report on the Galerie du Center in Bruxelles and its theater of human stories. As for Amélie Testenoire-Lafayette, she will continue her work on sexism, by questioning our view of the representation of male sensuality. The three winners will be supported for 10 months to carry out their project and will each receive a grant of 1,000 euros.
