France Insoumise Côte-d’Or and the La Boétie Institute invite us to decipher the extreme right

On January 30, La Insoumise Côte-d’Or, in partnership with the Institut La Boétie, is organizing a presentation of the collective work Far right: the resistible rise. This event, open to all, will be held at 7 p.m. at the Salle Lucie Aubrac, located in the d’Ouche district in .

A collective work to decipher the extreme right

Directed by the sociologist Ugo Palheta, this work aims to provide intellectual tools to analyze the process of extreme right-wing which crosses the French political landscape. The preface was written by the historian specializing in Nazism Johann Chapoutot, while the afterword is signed by Clémence Guetté, co-president of the La Boétie Institute and vice-president of the National Assembly.

With contributions from 18 authors with varied profiles – sociologists, philosophers, historians, economists, political scientists and journalists – the book offers a multidisciplinary and rigorous analysis. Through this work, the objective is clear: to provide a better understanding of the mechanisms at work in the rise of the extreme right in order to better combat it.

Distinguished guests to discuss the subject

The evening will be hosted by two renowned speakers:

  • Marlene Benquetsociologist and co-head of the sociology department at the Institut La Boétie.
  • Bérenger CernonLFI-NUPES deputy for the 8th constituency of Essonne.

These two specialists will share their analyses, while answering questions from the public, to encourage collective reflection on extreme right-wing and its implications.
