Wednesday January 15, shortly before 3 p.m., firefighters from Thiviers, Lanouaille and Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche (Haute-Vienne) intervened in Jumilhac-le-Grand for an open fire in a house. The owner of the premises had set up a water jet before the arrival of emergency services, without being able to prevent the damage, in particular to the electrical installation of the home, requiring rehousing for two people, supported by the town hall. Three vehicles and 12 firefighters were mobilized.
The same day, a fire took place in Montpon-Ménestérol, around 5 p.m., on the first floor of a 100 m² residential house being renovated. It was extinguished using a lance. During the intervention of the 17 firefighters, traffic on departmental 708 was disrupted.
