The Ministries of Industry and Trade and Finance also decided not to use the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund (BOG) for all fuels. Global fuel prices experienced significant fluctuations between January 16 and 22, driven by several factors: cold weather in the United States and Europe, boosting fuel demand; the US president’s policies to encourage domestic production of fossil fuels; United States tax policies targeting certain countries; the persistence of the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

All of these have led to fluctuations in global fuel prices in recent days.
