This is not the first time that Norway “war profiteer” has been singled out since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, notes Aftenposten in Oslo. But the latest round of criticism, coming from Denmark, had such an impact that the Norwegian Prime Minister, the Labor Party Jonas Gahr Store, and his Finance Minister, the centrist Trygve Slagsvold Vedum, had to step up to defend the reputation of their country.
The most biting salvo came from one of the main Danish daily newspapers, The politics. A center-left newspaper (roughly the ruling trend in Norway) whose editorial director split on January 14 with an editorial that caused a stir in Oslo.
