Immediately after inflicting these fatal injuries, the attacker ran away. During the chase, which lasted only a few moments, he got rid of a knife which the municipal police recovered and handed over to the night bin. Caught and arrested, the suspect had a blood alcohol level of 1.6 g as well as a wound on his scalp.

According to our information, he is a 37-year-old Tunisian, in an irregular situation on the national territory, who was first placed in a sobering up cell before being able to be questioned in police custody. And Fabrice Bélargent clarified that the person concerned had “already been convicted on several occasions, notably for drug trafficking and remaining in the country despite a judicial ban”.

Investigations, carried out by police officers from the local judicial police service, are continuing.
